Pula: the 3 most beautiful beaches

The most difficult task for this part of Sardinia is to be able to identify a limited number of beautiful beaches to recommend. The difficulty arises from the fact that the Pula area is surrounded by many very white beaches that deserve mention. Here we try to identify those that will not disappoint you and that will motivate you to go and discover all the others.

Fichi Beach

The beach takes its name from the numerous fig trees that grow right near the beach. Its sand is fine and the sea is crystal clear. Fichi beach is often crowded during the high season, but it is well organized to guarantee maximum comfort. Indeed, there is a large car park, refreshment points, sunbed and umbrella rental service, and it is also easily accessible for disabled people. The perfect destination for those who love surfing, underwater fishing, and diving.

Nora Beach

This is a slightly different and particular beach compared to the others in the area. One of the things that sets it apart is its location right on the slopes of the Capo di Pula promontory near the famous archaeological area. It is surrounded by a cliff and its medium-grain sand is generally a light colour but not the very white shade we see on beaches nearby. The sea is very clear and the bottom is shallow, which makes it ideal for playing and swimming even for children. It is possible to glimpse the remains of submerged ruins on the seabed. The beach is equipped, with a bar or restaurant at just a few steps away.

Santa Margherita di Pula Beach

Perhaps the most famous and popular beach in the area, Santa Margherita di Pula, is an expansive beach of grey sand with pink reflections; it is absolutely unique. The seabed is shallow, thus favouring bathing and children’s play. The beach is often windy and therefore makes even the hottest and most muggy days pleasant. Its being exposed to the wind also makes this beach the ideal destination for those who want to go surfing. The clear seabed is perfect for those who love underwater fishing and diving. It is well-served and equipped, including for disabled people. It has a large car park where campers are also allowed to park.

This is just a taste of the beauty you can admire and enjoy in this part of Sardinia; come and discover it for yourself.
